Ingredients

whole mixed pickling spice

white vinegar

cans
sliced beets
1/2
cup
sugar
1/2
tsp
salt

medium
white onion
sliced
Instructions
Put on an apron or wear old clothes. Watch for beet stains.
Boil spices (in a spice ball or tea caddy) with vinegar and beet juice for 10 minutes. Add sugar and salt.
Put beets and onions in jar.
Pour juice in jar.
Refrigerate at least 24 hours before serving.
