Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients
Crust

chocolate wafers

margarine
+ 2 tbs

semi-sweet chocolate

boiling water
1/2
cup
sugar

egg yolks
1/2
cup
Tia Maria liqueur
4
egg whites
1/4
tsp
cream of tartar
optional

cups
heavy cream
Instructions
Crust
Crush wafers in a blender or food processor.
Add melted margarine and mix until crumbly.
Pat into a springform pan extending crust about 1 inch up on sides.
Filling
Melt chocolate with 1/4 cup sugar and boiling water on top of double boiler.
Remove from heat. Cool.
Beat in egg yolks.
Return to cook over hot water for 1 minute.
Add liqueur. Blend.
Set aside to cool.
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff.
Gradually add remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Beat until stiff.
Fold egg white mixture into chocolate.
Whip cream and fold into mixture.
Blend well.
Pour filling into crust.
Decorate with chocolate shavings.
