Ingredients

lbs
beef brisket
single layer, well trimmed
1
envelope
onion soup mix
some
garlic powder
6-8
carrots
peeled and cut in large pieces
6-8
potatoes
pared and cut in quarters
Instructions
Put brisket in blue roasting pan.
Fill with water until meat is almost covered.
Sprinkle in dry onion soup mix.
Sprinkle with garlic powder.
Cook for 1 hour at 350
o
.
Add carrots and potatoes.
Cook for 45 minutes more or until meat is partially tender.
Remove from oven.
Slice meat thinly across the grain.
Return to pan and freeze for later use, if desired.
Complete cooking until tender.
Notes
Must use blue roasting pan!
Line blue roasting pan with heavy duty foil to make clean up easier.
