Fruit Compote

Ingredients

  • assortment of dried fruit
  • boiling water

Instructions

  • Layer fruit in glass jar.
  • Cover with boiling water.
  • Cool to room temperature.
  • Refrigerate and serve cold.  
  • Tastes best after stewing for awhile.  

Notes

Prunes (plums), apricots and raisins are traditional.
Peaches, pears and apples also work well.
