Brisket
Ingredients
- 3-4 lbs beef brisket single layer, well trimmed
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- some garlic powder
- 6-8 carrots peeled and cut in large pieces
- 6-8 potatoes pared and cut in quarters
Instructions
- Put brisket in blue roasting pan.
- Fill with water until meat is almost covered.
- Sprinkle in dry onion soup mix.
- Sprinkle with garlic powder.
- Cook for 1 hour at 350o.
- Add carrots and potatoes.
- Cook for 45 minutes more or until meat is partially tender.
- Remove from oven.
- Slice meat thinly across the grain.
- Return to pan and freeze for later use, if desired.
- Complete cooking until tender.
Notes
Must use blue roasting pan!
Line blue roasting pan with heavy duty foil to make clean up easier.
