Aunt Marian's Chile Con Carne
Ingredients
- 2 tbs. shortening melted
- 1 large onion cut in small pieces
- 3 lbs ground beef
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 2 cans kidney beans
- 1 small can pimento or 1/2 large can
- 2 tsp chili powder
- to taste garlic powder
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- to taste paprika
Instructions
- Saute onion in shortening a few minutes (not brown) in a Dutch oven.
- Add ground beef and let brown.
- Mash up pimento, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and paprika and add to mixture.
- Add soup and beans and just a little water.
- Cook another hour.
